Richard Barnes
was named 2009 Sidman Fellow of the Arts at the University of Michigan. Barnes has two musum exhibitions as well as a book coming up in 2009, please stay tuned for more details.

Seattle has a new Art Zine - La Especial Norte. Edited by Matthew Offenbacher, the publication features writing by artists and is set to come out two or three times a year. It is available free of charge at Howard House and other art venues around Seattle. Jen Graves at the Stranger had this to say about the first issue.
